1. General Notes 一般須知:
Scholarships & Financial Assistance Scheme are available to eligible registered students.
Families receiving the CSSA and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Finance Assistance Agency (SFAA), could apply for school fee remission.
領取綜援的家庭及領取學生資助辦事處 (學資處) 財政資助的學生，可申請學費減免。
Our school does not take part in the Secondary School Places Allocation System (SSPA). All students will be admitted only through our admissions and selection process. According to the guidelines given by the Education Bureau, after you have submitted the application form to us, you are still eligible for applying to another school through the SSPA System.
Admitted applicants, who have signed a matriculation agreement with us, will not be allocated any places through the SSPA System. If school places have been allocated to the applicant, those school places will be withdrawn.
The School Administrative & Admissions Committee of Lutheran Academy reserves all rights related to all arrangements of application for admissions, and may amend the arrangements at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes arising out of the admissions, the decision of Lutheran Academy shall be final.
The application is valid for one academic year. (November 2021 to July 2022)
Each applicant can only apply for one year level in each academic year.
2. Admissions Dates & Seminars 申請日期及入學簡介會:
The second round Admissions application will start from 22 November 2021(Mon) until 25 February 2022 (Fri). 第二階段申請由 2021年11月22日(一) 開始截至 2022年2月25日(五)為止。
If the Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 or aboveishoisted,or Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued at or after 12:30pm on 13 January 2022 (Thu), the Admissions seminar will be postponed to another day with further notice. Parents are advised to check the latest news from the Lutheran Academy website.
An application fee of HK$50 should be paid to our Admissions Office by cash or a crossed cheque made payable to "ELCHK LUTHERAN ACADEMY"by 4pm on 25 February 2022 (Fri) (Cheque can also be posted to our Admissions Office). Please write the applicant’s name and application number at the back of the cheque.
This fee is non-refundable. The school assumes no responsibility or obligation for any mistakes or losses of the cheques sent by mail. However, if applicants have financial difficulties in paying the application fee, please submit a written explanation, we will consider waiving the application fee.
Unless a waiver of the application fee has been granted, the application will not be proceeded if the applicant fails to settle the HK$50 application fee before 25 February.2022 (Fri). 除非申請人已獲豁色繳付報名費，否則，如申請人未能於2022年2月25日 (五) 前交妥港幣 $50報名費，其申請將不會獲得處理。
Supporting documents to be submitted with the online application form:
1. A most recent photo of the applicant. 申請人近照乙張。
2. A photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate/identity card/Passport香港身份證/出生證明書副本/證件*
3. For non-permanent Hong Kong residents:
- Applicants should present valid supporting document to show that he/she can reside and study in Hong Kong. 申請人須出示有效的證明文件, 以證明他／她能夠在香港逗留及讀書。
- The date on the VISA showing the limit of the applicant's stay in Hong Kong should still valid at the time of admission to the school. 簽證上的日期須顯示持證人在獲得取錄時，其在港逗留期限仍然有效。
4. A photocopy of the applicant's recent report card 最近一次的成績表副本
5. A photocopy of the Primary 6 Student Record Form 小六學生資料表副本
*There is no need to provide recommendation letters of the primary schools. 申請人不需要提交小學推薦信。
Items to be submitted to our Admissions Office by 4pm on 25 February 2022 (Fri):
請於2022年2月25日 (五) 下午四時正前遞交以下項目到本校入學辦事處:
Application Fee of HK$50 by cash or a crossed cheque (Cheque can be posted to our office)
Portfolio is not required and will not be considered in the admissions process.
All submitted documents will not be returned.
4. Interview 面試
Online Interview (Zoom)
The Second-round student admissions online interview will be conducted on 23 March 2022 (Wed) and parents / guardians are invited to meet our teachers on 24 March 2022 (Thu).
The interview time is randomly assigned; please reserve the aforementioned date for the interviews as requested and rescheduling will not be entertained.
Applications will not be considered if they fail to attend the interviews.
Original copies of the relevant documents should be presented for verification during the interview.
If the candidate is sick on the Interview Day, he/she should submit the Certificate of Sickness to us within the next working day, so that the school might arrange another interview for the candidate. However, the make-up interview is not guaranteed. If we did not receive any related documents within the time specified, we would consider the candidate as giving up the interview.
5. Result of Application 申請結果
Candidates will be notified by email of their interview result in April 2022.
If all places are filled up during the first round of admissions, other candidates will be put on our waiting list.
6. Admissions Criteria 收生準則
We place high importance on our students' proficiency level of English and good characters.
The overall assessment is divided into two parts,
The applicant's in-school performance and his/her talents (e.g. academic performance, conduct, interests and talents etc)
The applicant's interview performance (e.g. communication ability, co-operation, comprehensiveness etc)
